Democrats Have Their Heads In The Sand

It was the middleclass and the Democratic party supported workers that made America. You have left them for other agenda’s. Most people are not extreme on issues and while I agree we need to treat all people fair etc we need to focus on the working people. Well that fell on deaf ears and I was chastised by my own party.

I guess it finally has hit home. Now we have Trump again God help us. We will survive the next four years and then maybe the democrats can get their heads out’ta the sand and get back to their grass roots and take back the government.

The economy is always the number one reason for people to vote, high grocery prices and gas prices and high rent, or house payments really hit the average person’s pocketbooks. Even though we had a great economy comparable to the rest of the world people could not feel it. And everyday folks continue to struggle.

The corporations are the one ripping off the consumer, they have been caught over and over yet people don’t seem to understand it. The oil companies are raking in record high profits, CEO’S are getting millions in bonuses yet people don’t seem to get that either. Its corporate greed that has caused all this.

Democrats try to stop it, but have not done a very good job at it and are not getting the message out either. Democrats are lazy voters, always have been. If you didn’t vote and sit on the sidelines you reap what you sew.

People are so tired of the LGBQ+ issue being pushed down their throats. I personally do not care what you do in your own home, but frankly, I am tired, as a lifelong Democrat, of listening to it every day or the fact that a 220 pound male competes against a 120 pound female. I do not believe that is ok, and if these people want to compete then they need to compete in their own sports. Not because I have anything against them in their gender identification but in fairness to the other athletes who have not changed genders. I know that statement has angered many in my local party.

The differences between the haves and the have nots are increasing in the country and the American Dream is nearly gone and not attainable to everyone who are working and trying to own a home, or send their kids to  higher educational institutions.

The loss of manufacturing jobs has killed the middleclass, not that Trump cares about the middle class he doesn’t--- Trump is a good story teller and people gobble it up. Trumps tariffs will raise prices everywhere in the US, so if people think the economy will be better, they are mistaken.

Trump says we’ve got to stop Chinese goods, yet he has all his garbage made in China then sells it in the US and people voted for him. I don’t get it. I try to understand it but I just can’t get it. Then you have Elon Musk saying “oh the economy, its going to be rough for a few years but we have to do what it takes”.  You people swallowed that one , easy to say when you are a billionaire and if a gallon of milk is $1,000 he doesn’t care. How many are you going to buy?

Another reason people voted Republican is that they believe the immigrants are taking over the country. I happen to believe its ok to have legal immigration, if they come in legally. I do not believe they should separate families at all. There are many reason people voted Trump  and most of it is misguided, they think immigrants are criminals, the stats prove most are not.

Abortion was an issue for me, but most people had abortion way down on the list of what was important. The opioid crisis in the US – rampant addiction and overuse of prescription opioids and illegal opioids such as heroin was a concern to many in the Blue wall states. And Harris did not address these concerns. She failed to get the suburbs and the working class really on healthcare.

The Democrats should have picked a different running mate for Harris, in fact picked a different contender for president. People don’t really care for Harris, I never really have, but she deserved a chance. This country is not ready for a woman president or a woman of color, not because they are not qualified but because the country is still being run by men who believe women are not capable of being in charge of high positions.

Many women are afraid of the wrath of their husbands if they supported Harris and were threatened by their husbands of divorce if they found out the woman had voted for Harris. Frankly that is disturbing in so many ways. How can a woman allow her husband to control her that way? Religion is the likely answer. I am afraid I would have divorce papers presented to my husband before he could get his ballot marked if he tried that crap with me.

People think we are not drilling oil, when in fact we are exporting more oil than ever before, and the oil companies have 9,000 permits to drill but choose not to.

It will be a rough 4 years we must get through it and keep fighting for what is fair and right. Maybe the Democrats can get their priorities figured out. And return to the roots of the party and the issues which the majority of Americans face every day.

The extremism on both sides is tiring.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
