Trump makes vulgar remarks about groping women. Republicans tend To excuse groping and rape.
Despite their Claims, The GOP Embraces Immorality The Republicon party claims they are “god fear’en folks” what a joke. Those in the leadership- which are elected by the rank and file republicans, are nothing less than liars, conspiracy theorists, and a party which believe women are a lesser value, lesser in intelligence, just plain lesser overall as human beings than males. According to a poll released by the Pew Research Center, Sexual Harassment at Work in the Era of #MeToo, 62 percent of Democrats believe men getting away with sexual harassment or assault is a major problem. However, only 33 percent of Republicans feel the same. A similar number of Democrats, at 60 percent, think it is a major issue that women are not being believed, compared to only 28 percent of Republicans. A poll conducted by the nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute, asked “If a political candidate has been accused of sexual assault by multiple people, would you still consider voting for them if you agreed with them on the issues, or would you definitely not vote for them?” a majority of Republicans would support a candidate whom multiple women have accused of sexual assault (again). While a huge majority of Democrats are not. Fifty-six percent of Republicans said they would consider voting for a candidate who had been accused by multiple people; only 34 percent said they would not. By contrast, 81 percent of Democrats said they would not vote for such a candidate, and only 16 percent said they’d consider it: A former Idaho legislative intern-19- at the time, reported that then-Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger raped her at his apartment after the two had dinner at a Boise restaurant in March 2021. The young woman says von Ehlinger and then Rep. Priscilla Giddings, both Republicans, retaliated by publicly releasing her name, encouraging media outlets to publicize it, and lying about her. Because these republicons released her name she has continually suffered public humiliation and harassment on social media and at public events. Since 2017, at least 120 state lawmakers in 41 states have faced public allegations of sexual misconduct or harassment. Pretty sick, not all were Republicons, 48 have resigned or been expelled, 45 have faced some sort of repercussion such as the loss of a committee chair or party leadership position. Her report triggered an ethics investigation into von Ehlinger, who resigned before the full House could vote on whether to remove him from office. It also triggered a criminal investigation and in 2022 von Ehlinger was convicted of rape and sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, though he could be eligible for parole as soon as 2030. During the investigation and trial, von Ehlinger maintained he and the victim had consensual sexual contact. Giddings was also censured by the Legislature’s ethics committee after her actions in the wake of the young womans rape report came to light. She served out the remainder of her term and ran for lieutenant governor, losing in the 2022 Republican primary. On April 16, 2021, Von Ehlinger and his attorney David Leroy were asked to keep the victim’s name secret by her lawyers and by the ethics committee, according to the lawsuit. Giddings, who apparently helped von Ehlinger craft a news release about the ethics investigation, also spoke with both Leroy and von Ehlinger that day, according to the lawsuit. Just after 3 p.m. that day, von Ehlinger sent several journalists a copy of von Ehlinger’s formal response to the ethics investigation without redacting her name. Giddings then reached out to one newspaper reporter to see if he planned to write about the statement. Before the end of the business day, a far-right news website published a post with her real name, a photo of her as a younger teen and personal details about her life. Giddings then posted a link to the post on her Facebook account, along with the image of the victim as a minor. Giddings publicized the information again the following day, sending it out as part of a “Legislative Update” email to her constituents, referring to the victim using a derogatory term. Another far-right website also published the girls name by printing a picture of the unredacted response that had been sent out by von Ehlinger’s attorney. Why would anyone be so hateful to do this to a victim, Republicons have no heart, they have no compassion for women. When Sen. Al Franken faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct in December 2017, Democrats forced him to resign. In the Alabama Senate election that same month, the overwhelming majority of Republican voters backed Roy Moore despite multiple well-documented allegations of the candidate preying on underage girls. Democrat leaders and rank-and-file members have committed to the idea that sexual assault is underreported and that victims deserve to be heard. While Republicon leaders and voters, including accused sexual assault perpetrator Donald Trump, have openly worried that the movement is going too far. Men shouldn’t be punished in the way they have been since the Harvey Weinstein allegations broke. “It’s a very scary time for young men in America,” as Trump put it in comments to press. The attacks on women have been accepted more since Trump came into the spotlight. He is the poster child for its ok to rape women , as he has said they like it. What a pig! Republicons make excuses for rape of women, they ignore these horrific actions, they excuse the rape/molestation of children as well. Republicons blame the victims. While there is ZERO excuse for rape, there is culpability on the woman’s part as well, never go to the man’s apartment, home, motel, etc, if it’s a business meeting hold it with other people in an office, if after hours keep it in a public place where you are not alone. Take a cab home or drive yourself. Do not take the chance period. Don’t go out for drinks, keep your job professional, do not go out with the boss! Do not feel threatened of your job if you refuse the meeting in a private home/setting. Don’t put yourself in a bad situation in the first place. Your job is not as important as being raped. I know some folks will say ,well they need the job, they want to advance their career, if you have to be the victim of rape to advance your career, there is definitely something wrong with that analysis. Women need to take action in situations, they need to learn to not be intimated by men, For centuries women have been taught at an early age that they need to be submissive to men, as men know what is best for women. And its ok that men want to grope them, cause that is what men do. All crap. Women stand up for yourself, don’t be afraid. Speak out. Don’t be so trusting! Take control, and its fine to say no!
