Texas helps the Handmaid’s Tale Come True
Texas Republicons is the epitome of ignorance, control, belittling, harassment, discrimination, religious zealots, and where men continue to rule over women. Ignorance is the fundamental standard of the basic Republicon beliefs. In Texas a woman is considered as subservient, not intelligent enough to make decisions over her own body.
The Republicons have assaulted women’s rights, and taken control over their bodies. Enacting a law to make it illegal for a woman to have an abortion after 6 weeks. Hell, most women don’t even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. There is absolutely no reason allowed for a woman who wants an abortion. Rape, incest, simply do not fall under the realm of human decency when it comes to Republicons.
The law allows private citizens to sue abortion providers and anyone else who helps a woman obtain an abortion, including those who give a woman a ride to a clinic or provide financial assistance to obtain an abortion. A taxi driver an Urber driver falls under this category. Private Citizens who bring these suits don't need to show any connection to those they are suing. Wow! Let me stick my nose in your business and if I don’t like what you are doing…. I will just sue you. Slippery Slope!
This “law” bans abortion as soon as cardiac activity is detectable. That's around six weeks, which is before a lot of people know that they're pregnant. Other states have tried to do this, but those laws have been challenged by abortion-rights groups and blocked by federal courts again and again. Texas now has the strictest law in the country.
The moral police have risen in Texas, Groups who oppose abortion rights have pushed for this Texas law, hoping that it will be harder for federal courts to knock it down. Instead of requiring public officials to enforce the law, this law allows individuals to bring civil lawsuits against abortion providers or anyone else found to "aid or abet" illegal abortions. So all the clinics have agreed to do zero abortions. Forcing women to back alleys. Many women will opt to go out of state for the procedure, yet many cannot afford to leave Texas to have the procedure done. These women are being forced to be birthing machines. Anyone who successfully sues an abortion provider under this law could be awarded at least $10,000. And to prepare for that, Texas Right to Life has set up what it calls a "whistleblower" website where people can submit anonymous tips about anyone they believe to be violating the law.
Jesus Christ…. sounds like Nazi Germany, let’s turn in your neighbor to the Secret Police, the SS, the Gestapo …call it what you want it is wrong. The Geheime Staatspolizei, abbreviated Gestapo, was the official secret police of Nazi Germany and in German-occupied Europe.
The writers of the new law said. The lawsuits would be against the individuals making money off of the abortion, the abortion industry itself. So this is not spy on your neighbor and see if they're having an abortion. Ya right, try and muddy the waters, make claims to justify your assault on women and their rights. If the federal courts ultimately allow this law to stand, it's very likely that other conservative states will move to pass similar laws. Texas Right to Life, said the organization is working with activists in multiple states who are eager to replicate this model if it succeeds in blocking access to most abortions in Texas.
My God, here we are living through a modern day Inquisition, our democracy is under attack from people who are mad. The craziness is like covid, it is spreading with no control.
We need to confront these crazy people, we cannot allow them to take away our democracy bit by bit. How can anyone think it is ok to restrict a woman’s right to choose what is best for her and her body. The ignorance of forcing a woman to carry the seed of a rapist or an incest occurrence is beyond words. Who in the hell do they think they are? The far right moral police, intend to carry this insanity to many other states, most likely southern states because these states tend to be more religious, and red. And these people think they are religious, they use their religion as it best suits them. These states with their religious extreme beliefs have wives that are subservient and submit to their husbands word as law or to give them direction in their lives. They are programed at an early age that men are the boss and they have to heed to their say.
Women are intelligent, they are equal to men. Women do not need a man or a republicon to dictate what’s good for them. We need to stop the insanity of these zealots.
