Fires rage across Oregon, Feds say there is not enough money to fight the fires. Trump denies climate change. Oregon is 9 inches of rainfall short this year on average Yes Oregon is in a drought.
Trump says “I don’t think Science Knows About Global Warming”
Once again President Trump has spoken and stupid has projected from his slimy ignorant moronic mouth. President Donald Trump has dismissed concerns over climate change on a visit to fire-ravaged California, telling an official "I don't think science knows" about global warming. What a complete fool! And who knows about climate change? And who should we be listening to? Donald Trump? That’s a laugh. And then his next unwitting remark—it will start getting cooler you just watch…. After he was urged not to ignore science...What the h***? Has the man lost what little brain matter he has left; I believe he has? Trumps comments read the following: Fire authorities insisted on Monday that they have ample water supplies to fight California’s devastating wildfires, contrary to U.S. President Donald Trump’s tweets that unspecified water diversions to the Pacific were making matters worse. Officials from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire) and the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, stressed that wild-land blazes are battled primarily by crews hacking away at dry brush with hand tools and bulldozers, not with water. Trump tweeted, “California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren’t allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized. It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Must also tree clear to stop fire spreading!” Monday, he tweeted, “Governor Jerry Brown must allow the Free Flow of the vast amounts of water coming from the North and foolishly being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Can be used for fires, farming and everything else. Think of California with plenty of Water - Nice! Fast Federal govt. approvals.” Trump’s tweets are the signs of a man who is ether so ignorant or suffering the effects of a stroke or dementia that he should not be allowed to hold the office of president. Put the man in a special home where he will be cared for and where he won’t hurt others or himself anymore. Scientists say human activities have driven up global temperatures. And we all know and understand that except Mr. Trump. He has blamed poor forest management for the fires that have burned almost 5 million acres of land in California, Oregon and Washington State. Trump again is blaming that the fires were caused by poor management by the states, even though most of the land which has been burned is owned by the federal government. He also claimed that other countries had not dealt with the same level of forest fires, despite major conflagrations in Australia and the Amazon rainforest in recent years that experts attributed to the changing climate. Stating that these other countries have very explosive trees. What a stupid ass. Then to make matters worse. He pulled the US out of the Paris climate agreement, which committed the US and 187 other countries to keeping a global temperature rise this century well below 2C (3.6F) above pre-industrial levels. Claiming that other countries are taking advantage of the U.S. and not doing their fair share. Even though the U.S. is one of the top polluters in the world and furthermore the U.S. is the leader of the free world and should take the lead. The other countries have taken action and have set standards to meet the goals, even if some of the goals are not high enough, but not the U.S. under Trump. Strong winds and low humidity have been hampering efforts to keep the fires under control. In fact the high winds fueled the fires so that there was no way the firefighters could keep the firs under control. State officials have also warned that while storms forecast for later in the week could bring much-needed rainfall, they could also bring more lightning and that could set off another round of fires. At least 10 people have been killed in Oregon in the past week. Officials have said dozens of people are missing and warned that the death toll could rise. Police in Oregon have set up the state's first ever mobile mortuary, the Oregonian newspaper reports. The report adds that a separate facility is being created to allow the families of those reported missing to undergo DNA testing to help with the identification process. One person has died in Washington, where there were five large fires on Sunday. Over 10% of Oregon has burned, Oregon Governor Kate Brown has said her state is facing "the perfect firestorm" and called the moment "truly the bellwether for climate change on the West Coast. And this is a wake-up call for all of us that we have got to do everything in our power to tackle climate change," she said Washington Governor Jay Inslee described the situation as "apocalyptic" and condemned Mr Trump's stance on the climate. Inslee is very outspoken against the president and has been direct and to the point when speaking about the president’s failures, Inslee is a good man and not afraid of trump. California Governor Gavin Newsom echoed his own statement from Friday that the fires showed the debate about climate change was "over". We submit the science is in and observed evidence is self-evident: that climate change is real and that is exacerbating this." What is it going to take to get the climate deniers to agree that the world is in crisis from man-made global warming? Complete destruction of all living species including republicans? Then maybe they will get it. But I doubt it. Nine of the world's 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 2005, and the UN warned this week that the five years from 2016 until this year will very probably be the hottest such period yet recorded. Both Oregon and California have warmed by more than 1C since 19 The sustained warmth has seen six of the 20 largest fires on record in California all occur this year. In Oregon, the outbreak of fires burned almost twice the amount of average annual losses in a week. Oregon is way down in its annual rainfall this year, Oregon is 9 inches of rain short on the average. In California, a prolonged drought over the past decade has killed millions of trees, turning them into potent fuel for the fires. Mountain regions that are normally cooler and wetter have dried out more rapidly in the summer, adding to the potential fuel load. There is nothing these states can do to stop the potential fire danger. There is no way man can clean up all the dead forests no matter what Trump claims. As I sit in my chair writing this Take I am looking out the window unable to see very far because of the smoke, the air burns your lungs and eyes if you are out there very long, effects your sinus’s and people with heart problems are effected and must stay indoors. What is the smoke doing to the wildlife it can’t be good for them either? I see hummingbirds still buzzing around eating from my feeders yet I worry about all the little animals and birds. Does mankind have the right to cause such horrible destruction? I don’t believe so the air in Oregon is the worse in the world: oh, how I miss those cold and rainy days that Oregon usually has. The cold clear air the cold clear mornings or even the cold foggy mornings are better than this smoke-filled environment. It’s a wake- up call-- will America and the world heed its call? I certainly hope so because I don’t want this to be the norm.
