Just when you think things can't get any worse, low and behold we find out that the President of the United States of America has given the N.S.A. (National Security Agency) the go ahead to wire tap and spy on AMERICAN CITIZENS!
What ever happened to the BILL of RIGHTS? Now they can spy on us without so much as a court order from a Judge. Historical documents prove that the same type of actions transpired several decades ago in Nazi Germany.
The new American Third Reich is following the Fuhrers handbook when it comes to spying on the citizens. In 2004 during the campaign George Bush Jr. specifically addressed wiretaps by proclaiming that whenever we wiretap, we have to get a court order! His admissions on Monday belie those statements.
The only reason I can see for breaking the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by this administration is so they would not have to tell anyone whom they were actually spying on! If you haven't noticed anyone who disagrees with the policies of this administration has the mark tattooed on their wrist. They are persecuted and segregated from any and all events which are not only sponsored by the Republican Party, but are mostly paid for by all taxpayers in America! All of our e-mails, web site visits, checked out library books, cell phone conversations and credit card transactions are under the scrutiny of this administration. I hope we find out who is on Bush's enemies list.
Thank God the United States Senate had the courage to slow this administration down by filibustering the so-called Patriot Act. It should be called; THERE IS NOTHING PATRIOTIC ABOUT IT ACT! When you give up your Civil Liberties in the name of more security you gain neither.
One of the scariest parts of this whole scandal is that when the Republicans took over both houses of Congress the oversight that would normally have been employed by these bodies ended and the Vast Culture of Corruption began. Now we have the President of the United States admitting that he committed a felony by spying on Americans. There is no way, what he is doing is legal! We just impeached a President of the United States for doing much less, a consenting sexual act with a third party. The problem should have been, between President Clinton and his wife not the whole nation. The Republicans are getting away with aiding, abetting a confessed probable felon.
It is TIME TO WAKE UP AMERICA! If there are no checks and balances as envisioned by our founding Fathers we are in Grave Danger of becoming like the Germans under NAZI rule. I defy anyone to show me where in the Constitution that it makes it legal for a President to spy on the citizens of the USA! Who are the real enemies of democracy? Those who question are government? Or those who try to thwart debate?
