With all the hoopla in the news this week, concerning Rep Duke Cunningham of California I have come to the conclusion that the 94 Republican Revolution is OVER! In 1994 the Republican Party came into power promising to restore honesty and ethics back into Congress. The Republicans repeatedly stated that we needed to throw the bums out, referring to the Democratically controlled Congress that had become so corrupt over the last 40 years of their congressional control.

The Republicans have been in control of the Congress for about 10 years and they make the Democrats look like choirboys! The corruption of the Republican Party is orchestrated from the White House whose talking points and buzz- words are being echoed by the Republican Leadership.

With the indictment of key figures in the Party, the Republicans have become increasingly disoriented and in some cases outright hostile to individuals who have the temerity to question them. These are the signs of desperation, and hopeless despair with the pending implosion of the Republican Party.

Although the indictments are just starting, there are signs that the influential lobbyist Jack Abramoff scandal will be the most far-reaching case of corruption, since the Ulysses S. Grant scandal in the 1870s. Which will ultimately involve several dozen Congressmen and Congresswomen.

Among the conspirators there are many famous Republican names such as Tom Delay former House Majority Leader, Sen. Bill Frist Senate Majority Leader, Scooter Libby   Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff, Rep. Randy Duke Cunningham, Rep. Robert Ney, Rep. John Doolittle and Sen. Conrad Burns all of which are under investigation and or indictment.

Throughout history the title G.O.P. stood for the Grand Old Party! Now we know differently, G .O.P. really stands for Going Onto Prison!
