General John Batiste becomes the latest in a long line of retired military Generals who have publicly called for the resignation of secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Batiste believes America would be better served if we had a fresh start at the Pentagon.

These retired Generals believe that secretary Rumsfeld has no clue when it comes to building a team that has the respect of all those involved without the use of intimidation from the secretary. They cannot understand how the secretary can make decisions with out taking into account sound recommendations, sound military decisions and sound planning submitted by the military.
We all know the stubbornness of this Secretary and his Commander in Chief, which has lead to the deaths of over 2369 serviceman and women. With the number of American Soldiers that have been wounded reaching over 17,469. I thought President Bush said he would take the advice of the military leaders and the Generals on the ground! BULL-PUCKEY!
This administration has fought tooth and nail against anyone who has had the temerity to question his rush to war. Not only did they not listen to sound advice, but set out on a concerted effort to trash anyone who disagreed with their version of the situation and those whose advice did not match with their story! This administration will no doubt go down in history as the most inept, uncaring bullheaded prevaricating administration in the history of America.
I can't for the life of me understand how the President and the Secretary of Defense both with an asterisk next to their names when it comes to past military service and experience, (let's not forget Dick the five time deferment Cheney), refuse to listen to the very people who have dedicated their whole adult lives and built their careers on military service to our Nation. These men and women have fought and shed blood for our freedoms. Yet these Chicken Hawks don't even have enough sense to listen to their experienced words!
SHAME on this administration! When soldiers take their oath, they promise to protect us from enemies Foreign and Domestic. How far away are we from the military fulfilling their oath of service to the American people? A Dictatorship by any other name is still a Dictatorship! We fought Totalitarian Governments and Fascism in WWII. Yet we are becoming exactly what we fought against over 60 years ago.
We are no longer a Government of the people, by the people, for the people. We are a Government of the Corporate, by the Corporate, for the Corporate. Wake up and smell the gunpowder! The America we knew is no longer!
